The Women Education Development Trust has been formed by Two Development Workers - initiated by Mr.J.ANTHONI SAMY, M.A.S.W., and founded by Ms.K.MARIYA MUTHU, M.A. - Committed for the cause of creating a DIGNIFIED life to the most marginalized sections of the society, particularly WOMEN CHILDREN AND YOUTH irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

The WED - Trust is working with the most disadvantage sections of the society in CHENNAI, THIRUVALLUR AND VELLORE Districts for the past ten years (i.e. from 1994 ). The WED - trust aims at Community based WOMEN AND CHILD development (particularly in Nature ) through leadership formation and Community Organization that forms as a base for a sustainable development. In general, it works for the most needy sections of the society.
